Mrs Norma Bradbeer lived and died at 2 Cherwell Terrace, Woodford Halse.

This letter was found amoungst her belongings and the had written text reads as follows:

WARNING

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION ACT, 1876.

DAVENTRY UNION SCHOOL ATTENDANCE COMMITTEE

To Ann Bristow

of Byfield

Whereas it appears that you are the parent of 2 Children named

Mary Ann and Edith

You are hereby Warned by the School Attendance Committee, that unless such Children

shall duly and regularly attend an efficient school, you will be summoned before the Magistrates to answer a complaint of the said School Attendance Committee in the matter.

N.B.-The Magistrates can inflict a Penalty of Five Shillings for the first and every subsequent offence against the Bye-Laws.
