Gate to Moravian Churchyard.

As shown, there is a plaque on the gate whose notice reads:-

THIS GATE AND FENCE WERE GIVEN BY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS IN MEMORY OF BROTHER ANDREW JOHN PRATT, WHO DIED IN A TRAGIC ACCIDENT ON MARCH 6TH 1978.

The accident was a bus crash involving a British Timkens factory bus during a freak snowstorm. It was the night shift bus returning to Woodford Halse when it crashed between Badby and Charwelton. Several people died in this accident.

The British Timkens factory in Daventry made roller bearings for trains, planes and boats.
