On Saturday 3rd November 1962 ex-GWR 2-6-0 № 6363 heads away from Woodford Halse, passing the site of the former south junction with the SMJR.

Until February 1936, the junction had made possible through trains between Marylebone and Stratford on Avon. Afterwards, the service was perpetuated for a while through the expedient of slipping a coach at Woodford Halse.
