WOODFORD HALSE

 WEDDING.—A pretty wedding took place at the Parish Church on Wednesday between Miss Muriel Nettie Locke, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Locke, and Mr. Charles Stanley Short, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Short, of Southampton. The Rev. G. T. Charlesworth, of Byfield, officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of white silk, with wreath and veil and orange blossom, silver shoes, and white stockings, and carried a bouquet of carnations.

The bridesmaids were the Misses Freda and Eva Locke (sisters of the bride). They wore pale blue silk dresses, and mob caps to match, and carried bouquets of daffodils.

Mr. Ernest Locke, brother of the bride, was best man. A reception was held at the bride’s home. Presents, numerous and useful included one from the staff of the Royal South Hants Hospital, where the bride has been a nurse for many years.

The honeymoon is being spent in Jersey.

The bride’s going away dress was a navy blue suit, with saxe blue hat.
