WOODFORD HALSE.

 PENNY BANK.—The bank which was opened in 1891 in connection with the school has had a very successful year.

There are upwards of 110 depositors, and the balance at the end of the year was over £80. The principle on which it is carried on is that each depositor who has 5s. or more to his credit at the end of the year shall be entitled to interest.

Note: The left of the clipping is as seen with the left slightly chopped off by half a character, I have improvised with what seems to be the only possible character to fit in with the article as a whole.
