WOODFORD HALSE
The monthly meeting of Woodford Halse Bristish Legion (women’s section) was held in the Memorial Hall, Mrs W. Dale in the chair. A knitting competition was judged by Miss Wootton, who awarded the prizes to Mrs. J. Hulme and Mrs. W. Wood.
MR. R. A. ADAMS presided at the annual meeting of Woodford Halse Ex–Service Men’s Hall Sports Club.
Messrs. H. Fennel, E. J. Lock, E. King A. Howes and A. Steel were elected honorary members.
The Chairman commented on the success of Mr. E. J. Lock in winning the individual prize in the Eydon and District Billiards League, in which the club team finished third, and mentioned that the Norris cup, given by Messrs. Hanson, was won by Mr. W. Shenton, and the club A team were runners–up in the Banbury League.
Mr T. R. Howes and Mr. A. Howes were appointed to represent the club at the Eydon and District League meeting.
